Sikkim Rural Employment Association (SREA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected, nominated central executive body of Renjyong Mutanchi Rong Tarjun (Sikkim Lepcha Association). Further SREA has expressed its hopes that the new body consisting of experienced and the young led by its president Mr. Dupden Lepcha will definitely work for the welfare of under privileged sections of the Sikkimese Lepcha society as a whole.

Adding more SREA has also welcomed the decision of selection of the new body through consensus rather than holding elections, as this indicates the system of taking right decisions by Ten Lepcha’s in the ancient Lepcha tradition, customs which still prevails in the modern age of technology and globalization.

The new CEC of RMRT is Mr. Sonam Dupden Lepcha as the president where as Mr. Neyzing Lepcha as the Vice president, Mrs. Chuney Lepcha, Vice President II, Dr. OT Lepcha, General Secretary I, Mr. TT Lepcha, General Secretary I I, Mr. Mika Lepcha, Joint Secretary I, Mr. Giden Lepcha, Joint Secretary II, Mr. Amos Rinzing Lepcha, Joint Secretary III, Mr. Sonam Lepcha, Treasurer, Mr. Thotop Targain Lepcha, Joint Treasurer, Mrs. Phurmith Lepcha, Publicity secretary I, Mr. Tashi Tshering Lepcha, Publicity Secretary II and Mr. Passang Dorjee Lepcha as Cultural Secretary respectively. Furthermore SREA even congratulates the former President of RMRT Mr. CT Lepcha for being nominated as the advisor cum chairman of the construction committee.
