President’s Cup Bamboo Archery Tourn. update

Gangtok, Jan. 1, 2011

The 2nd President’s Cup Bamboo Archery Tournament match was played between Pachey, Pakyong and Mangan on 31st January. Pachey, Pakyong was victorious with 38 points against 12.

Speaking with the media, member of Sikkim Archery Association (SAA) Dawa Palzor Lepcha stated that both the participating team of today’s match were equally competitive which made the match very interesting for the spectators to view. Mr. Lepcha informed that SAA has been provided with positive response form the participating team and from the spectators as well. But Mr. Lepcha adding further said that amongst the total team participating in this tournament SAA have found Pedong Gumpa to be one of the strongest team so far through out the matches played. Mr. Lepcha said that SAA has been receiving various encouraging compliments from the teams for conducting such a huge bamboo archery tournament.

The next match will be played between Sichey and Lamaten, Rongli at SAA ground, Tathengchen today.
