JN Bhutia completes a training program for young leaders at Japan

Jikme Norbu Bhutia, underwent on a training program for young leaders, policy on information and communication technology at Tokyo international center, Japan.  The training was sponsored by government of Japan and implemented by Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA). Jikme is working as District Project Officer, Adolescent Project under Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mangan district.

Addressing a press conference at Deorali today the zonal director of Nehru Yuva Kendra (Sikkim) Mr. JK Limboo said that such training program is organized for the first time by JICA. Before this other types of program considering the encouragement of youths is always practiced by NYK across the nation. Young people are provided skill development programs, capacity building and many more focusing the development of human resource nationwide.

Limboo said that Jikme Norbu Bhutia was the only participant selected for the training and he was nominated by the advisory committee of north district considering his activities for the development of youths in north district.

Under Mr. Bhutia’s leadership and guidance today there are more than sixty clubs functioning across North district along with twelve red ribbon clubs which are operational  and are working for the awareness on HIV/ AIDS in association with Sikkim State Aids Control Society (SSACS) in north district.

Limboo speaking about the training program said that Japan is a developed country and now they are supporting to the developing countries in promotion human resource development so that the trainees works as a leaders in nation building.

Bhutia in his address said that a total of twenty one participants from different sectors like engineering, lecturers, IT students, social work and Indian Administrative Services from different states of our country went for the training program. Three participants were from North East including himself were there in the training.

Informing about the lectures provided during training Bhutia  said that lecture on ICT policy in Japan was given including changing environment of ICT industry and role of IT coordinators, overview of JICA in ICT, approach to Green ICT etc.

Bhutia while sharing his experience said “Japan is really developed in ICT. Broadband is very cheap and is fostering rapidly”. People of Japan are very punctual, abide by rules and regulations of the country. They are very friendly whereas the society is fully ICT managed.
