The Cabinet Meeting which was held on 25^th August,2011 in the Cabinet Hall of Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok was chaired by Dr. Pawan Chamling, Chief Minister approved and sanctioned the following proposals of various government departments.

Health Care, Human Services & Family Welfare Department

The proposal seeking approval and sanction of Rs. 85,28,272.00( Rupees eighy five lakhs twenty eight thousand two hundred seventy two)  only towards the interim procurement of mekdicines, consumables, reagents for the financial year 2011-12.

Energy and Power Department

The proposal seeking approval and sanction of Rs. 609.24 lakhs (Rupees six crores, nine lakhs and twenty four thousand) only for diversion of 66 KV transmission line from Tadong Sub-Station to ICAR compound in double circuit 66 KV tower for independent circuit for Phodong, North Sikkim including improvement system of ground clearance of 66 KV transmission system in North and East Sikkim. Part –A East District and part –B North District.

The proposal for according approval and sanction of Rs.187 .00 lakhs (Rupeesone hundred eighty seven lakhs) only for the work ’Establishment of Electrical Infrastructure with installation of 11/0.43 KV, 100 KV A Distribution Sub-Station including street light system at Reshi Check post in East Sikkim,

Roads and Bridges Department

The proposal for according administrative approval for Rs.985.74 lakhs (Rupeesnine hundred eighty five lakhs seventy four thousand) only and financial sanction for Rs.200.00 lakhs (Rupees two crores) only for construction of road from Keu Khola- Bouchen to Phandung Gumpa, Phadamchen in East Sikkim, (9.48 kms.

The proposal for according administrative approval for Rs.589.70 lakhs (Rupees five hundred eighty nine lakhs seventy thousand) only and financial sanction for Rs.200.00 lakhs (Rupees two crores) only for construction of road fromDalapchand Sawa Turning to Deuling, East Sikkim.(5.60 kms),

Buildings and Housing Department

The proposal seeking approval and sanction of Rs.27.40 lakhs (Rupees twenty seven’ lakhs forty thousand)only for the work ’Renovation including providing furniture furnishing of winter Camp Bungalow of H.E the Governor at Rangpo inEast Sikkim,

Sports and Youth Affairs Department

The proposal for according approval and sanction of Rs.20,94,069/-(Rupeestwenty lakhs ninety four thousand and sixty nine)only to release the reimbursement amount against the PYKKA competitions conducted at the Zilla Panchayats level,District and State level during 2009-10.

Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department

The proposal relates to Land Bank Scheme under which government has been providing a piece of land to the landless poor people of Sikkim. The proposal is submitted for according approval to enhance the rate of land from Rs.2 lakhs per acre to to 6,91, OOO/-(Rupees six lakhs ninety one thousand)only per acre which is based on the base price calculated taking into consideration the market value of a total of 25 transactions covering all the four districts of Sikkim for the period from 2009 onwards.

In the existing Notification the Sukumbasis applicant has to select land by them but if a Sukumbasi is not able to find a land by himself, then it is proposed that the Government may find land to such person and provide him the same within six months of his application.
