The construction time for the completion of the Greenfield Airport project at Pakyong has increased by one year as informed by the Airport Authorities. Earlier the project was to be completed by July this year but as per the recent information this may go to July of 2012.
Stating that the construction work is going slow, Bhupendra Singh of AAI further added that monsoon that affects the state for almost four months in a year has also adversely effected the construction pace. However he added that the first phase of construction is over and the second phase has already started.

The AAI probably didn’t study the landscape and climatic conditions of this place before that they’re now extending their completion deadline
