Nepali album “Mayama Mero” released

A music album, Mayama Mero was released by the Minister for Information and Public Relation, Mr CB Karki in a function organized by the Educated Unemployed Cooperative Society Limited (EUCSL), Darap-Nambu, West Sikkim this afternoon at Sikkim Government College auditorium.

The album, which is produced by Mr Silash Tamang, has total seven songs. Mr Basant Tamang is the singer, while lyrics and music is composed by Mr Yogen Tamang. Video on a song Mayama Mero was also shown during the releasing function and the singer of the album Mr Basant Tamang also presented a song from the album.

In his address, the Minister congratulated the whole team of the album and the cooperative society for taking this initiative in the field of music and culture.

He also mentioned that due to constant initiatives of the local youths Darap is coming up in the field of village tourism and has become an example for the whole state. Minister further encouraged the youths of Darap to carry forward the vision and dream of the Chief Minister for the state.

General Secretary EUCSL, Mr Silash Tamang spoke on the various activities of the society for the development of the youths of the area. He also mentioned that on the video filmed on one of the song of the album beautiful places like Yumthang, Yumesamdong, Khecepalri, Darap and Pelling have been shown. Mr. Tamang stated that one of the main objectives of this album is also to promote tourism in the state and to make the local youths self-reliant by engaging them in productive and creative activities.

He also informed that the video of the album is also being telecast in the different channels of Nepal to promote the album in the international level.

The function was also addressed by a senior citizen of Darap, Mr KB Limboo, Publisher/ Editor of Sikkim Mail Mr Ashit Rai and Yuksom SBS Branch Manager, Mr Ajit Gurung.
