SNT trains its bus conductors in First Aid

Gangtok Nov. 17
SNT Division of the Transport Department conducted a one day First Aid Training Programme for its 15 bus conductors on 11th November 2010 in the Conference Hall of Yatayat Bhawan, Gangtok. The purpose of conducting the training was to educate the Bus conductors in providing First Aid to the passengers in case of any eventuality. The Bus Conductors were also educated to deal with different accident situations and ways to handle the passengers. The training was also important as per the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 (Section 29), all Bus conductors are required to have valid Conductors’ License where they are required to have knowledge on providing First aids. Certificates were also awarded to the participants.
