SYA Deptt & SSA to felicitate Tarundeep

Gangtok, Nov. 26
The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim and The Sikkim Archery Association have written to the Archery Association of India expressing their desire to officially felicitate Arjun Awardee Archer Tarundeep Rai, for having won a Silver medal at the XVIth Asian Games 2010, Guangzhou, China. A tentative date for reception on 29th November, 2010 and felicitation on 30th November, 2010 at Gangtok, Sikkim has also been communicated with a request that the Archery Association of India and Tarundeep Rai may kindly intimate to the department a mutually convenient date at the earliest. The letter further adds that the airfare and all other expenses of Mr. Rai will be borne by the Government of Sikkim.
