SATA and SFA congratulates Tarundeep

General Secretary of SATA Mr Trilok Subba and all the members have heartily congratulate star Archer Mr. Tarundeep Rai of Sikkim for winning historical Silver Medal for India and Sikkim in the individual archery event in the 16th. Asian Games held at Guangzhou, China. Mr.Trilok said that “Tarundeep proved that the people of hill region have potential to achieve glory for the Nation in such a mega sports event like Asian Games and all the young generation should follow his footstep kicking out the habit of negative addiction like smoking, alcoholic drinking and drugs abusing.”

Sikkim Football Association (SFA) also congratulated Tarundeep Rai for his historic win in the recently concluded Asian Games in China. SFA has mentioned that the Silver medal won by him has not only made Sikkim proud but the entire nation is proud of him. It is a historic win as no other archer has ever won a medal in Asian Games and he is the first one do do so, adds Shri Menla Ethenpa, General Secretary, SFA. He further said that SFA hopes that Tarundeep’s achievement will definitely motivate Sikkimese youngsters to take sports as a professional career.
