BJP Sikkim unit has lambasted the pace of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the FIR filed by two national parties against chief minister and others. In an attempt to prevent the CBI steps within Sikkim, the state assembly announced an inquiry commission under retired judge of Sikkim High Court, RK Patra. It is certain that the Patra commission will never convict Chamling in charged allegations, the party said.
BJP state unit wants to know from the Patra commission about the exact number of cases the aforesaid commission has worked on till date and the percentage result of those investigated cases.
Loksabha MP, PD Rai said in a recent statement that the CBI is a tool of central government and is being used by SPCC against the state government. He underlined that the Central Investigated Agency only targets the opposition party leaders. CBI is a tool in the hand of the central government, Mr. Rai had said.
BJP state unit wants a clarification from the central Congress party and the ruling state party SDF, if they are in alliance with the UPA.
