PD Rai chairs meet in South Sikkim to monitor dev. schemes

Namchi February 2: Sikkim’s Loksabha M.P Lok Sabha chaired the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee Meeting held at the Conference Hall of District Administrative Centre, here in the headquarters of South Sikkim District.

The meeting was about monitoring the developmental programmes and the flagship programmes of Centre like MGNERGA, PMGSY, IYA etc, and State Government going on in the South District.

The meeting was attended by Panchyats of various GPUs of South District. They put forward their problems and grivences regarding the developmental works going on in their respective GPUs and Blocks.

Officers and the BDOs who were also present during the meet presented the status of the developmental works going in their espective blocks and in the district and also answered the questions and the queries put forward by the panchyats and the members during the meet.

The concerned officers and the BDOs also gave an account of the works going on in the district under MGNERGA, PMGSY, IYA, Old age pensions etc.

M.P Mr. Rai during the meeting appealed to all the concerned officers to be vigilante and monitor the works going on in their areas and and see that the developmental works were in progress in full flow.

The meting was also attended by MLA Sonam Gyatso Bhutia, Deputy Chaiperson Namchi Municipal Council, D.C A.K Singh.

Ms. Gloria Namchi SDM/Namchi earlier welcomed the guest with her welcome note.
