Gangtok, May 2 (PTI) The Sikkim Chess Association (SCA) was granted official affiliation to the All India Chess Federation at a meeting held in Chennai recently.
SCA”s president and general secretary had attended the central council meeting of the federation, a release said today.

Since its formation in 2008 the executive body of SCA has been constantly persevering for its affiliation and recognition.

All India Chess Federation officials D V Sundar and Bharat Singh Chawan had visited the state on February 6 to decide on the matter.
