Rongli RHS conducts SMC and Guardian meets

RONGLI: Rongli Jr. High School, East, under Regu BAC organised a School Managing Committee cum Guardian meeting on 17th march 2012, Saturday at the school. The meeting was presided by Ganesh Pradhan, Senior citizen, Rongli.

The meeting was attended by Ward Panchayat, Headmaster, CRC Coordinator, teachers, SMC and MTA members & Guardians. At the beginning of the meeting Bhumika Rai, GT of the school, gave the warm welcome address. Teacher, Junu Pradhan informed to guardians about new assessment system. She also made aware about scholarship schemes for bright students. Mrs. Pradhan highlighted the role of parents for quality education.

Mr. Bhim Prasad Chettri, teacher, host of the day requested parents to guide their wards for every step of their life. SMC Chairperson, Pemchung Lepcha said that there should be transparency between teachers and parents to understand the problems of students. He also felt satisfactory about the quality of Mid- day –meal managed by the school.

Mr. Mani Kumar Gurung, SMC Member (NGO representative) shared his abroad experiences and requested to become punctual and disciplined citizen like people of Japan. Headmaster of the school, Ganesh Kumar Chettri placed the school report. He informed that ninety two students were newly admitted in 2012 in different classes and total students strength is 469. He also placed the status of teacher of this year. He informed that school is decided to prepare house dress for students with school logo if guardians agree. He further informed that Gati infrastructure (Social welfare division) is going to conduct coaching after school for economically poor and academically weak students of the school.

The meeting decided to renovate computer room to run computer classes, in this regard Kumar Gurung of Rongli assure to provide 8 no. Of chair, YODESS, NGO cash Rs. 5000/-(five thousand), Aihir Kumar Rawat, Rongli one fan and further require amount from Panchayats, Headmaster, teachers, SMCs and guardians. An open discussion about the strengths and weaknesses of students among the teacher and parents was also held. The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by teacher Prakash Sharma.
