SDF Party held its 21st Foundation Day in Sikkim

The 21^st Foundation Day of SDF Party for Melli Constituency has been celebrated in a grand manner here in Sadam School Playground amidst over 7000 people gathered from six different GPUs of Melli Constituency.

The programme started with the lighting of lamp and flag hoisting by the Chief Guest of the Day Area MLA Tulshi D. Rai, Devi Maya Baraily Up Adhakshya, South District was also present as a special guest among Zilla Panchayats, Panchaysts and other party functionaries of Melli Constituency.

The message of the Party President and Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling was also read out before the gathering.

Earlier, a big rally of motorbikes escorted the chief guest to the venue.

Various Cultural & Literary programmes were presented by different groups from all the places of the Constituency. As per the result declared earlier held at a function in Melli Dara, the winners and runner-ups of Essay and Poem Competition have being read out their winning entries during the function. They were also awarded with mementos and cash prizes.

Area MLA and Chief Guest Smt. Tulshi D. Rai highlighted the importance of the day.

“The people has witnessed the real democracy in Sikkim on this day before 21 years. The pro-poor principle of SDF Party has benefitted the people in real sense. People have seen all round development in the state since the inception of SDF party in Sikkim,” said the Chief guest in her speech.
