SDF party office opening spree continues in Sikkim

The formation of Ward Level Development Committee and opening of ward level SDF party office is going on in full swing under Rhenock constituency.

Six ward level SDF party offices were opened under Dikling Pacheykhani GPU on April 10.

Inaugurating the party offices at Chalamthang, Dikling, Lossing, Dikling Pacheykhani, Pacheykhani and Bengthang, area MLA cum Minister for Forest and Tourism Bhim Bhungel urged party workers to work for the welfare of the people and to strengthen the party in the grassroots level.

The ward level development committee consisting of nine-members each was also formed in all these six wards in the presence of the area MLA. The committee consists of panchayats, ex-panchayats, senior citizens, women and youths, who will look for the development for the ward, health related issues and work for the development of the nearby schools in coordination with the State Government, and the Rural Management and Development (RMD) department.

This committee, it is informed will be registered under RMD department so that the government benefits are distributed through this committee.

It was further informed that similar committee and party offices would be formed in all GPUs under Rhenock constituency.
