Seven-day Job Profiling Life Management Skills Orientation Programme for Youths who have passed Class XII and above started on May 28 here in the auditorium of Sikkim Government College, Tadong, East Sikkim.

The seven-day programme will covers all the four districts of the state. The counselling programme is being organized by the Human Resource Development Department in which the delegates of North India Management Association (NIMA) headed by Dr. Gulshan Sharma, President NIMA delivered lectures on the various aspects of career options. The counselling programme was inaugurated by K T Gayltsen, Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, who graced as the chief guest.

Addressing to the students Gayltsen said that the programme is a part of the capacity building programme of the state government which aimed at giving right directions at the right time so that the students take benefits from the opportunities available around them. He said that the state government is putting all efforts in producing capable human resource for the future of the state.

The Chief Guest also congratulated the Department and the team of delegate for holding such counseling which he said is very important in a childs career.  He advised the students to grab the opportunities provided by the government so that they can work for the sake of the state and also make their own life successful.

Gyaltsen also advised the students to abide by the suggestions made by the lecturers which will be very much helpful for them.  Nowhere in the world such type of opportunities are available, he added.  He suggested taking maximum benefit from fruitful counselling programme and the  deliberation, and also advised the students to seriously think and work for their future.

The Chief Minister of Sikkim is serious about the future of the students and therefore the government has provided ample opportunities in the education sector for the betterment of the students and youths of the state, the chief guest added.

The programme  started with welcome speech by the Director School Education and the vote of thanks was proposed by the Joint director.
