Sikkim CS reviews stock of essential commodities

In continuation of her previous review meetings, the Chief Secretary Smt R. Ongmu again reviewed the stock of essential commodities with the relevant departments today.

The Departments reported to the Chief Secretary that there is sufficient stock of all essential commodities.

Fresh Vegetables have also been brought into the state through convoy and security. All the food godowns are having enough stock of food grains. So far, the things are under control.

It has also been decided during the meeting that the Home Department, Food and Civil Supplies & CA Department and Transport Department would continue to function during the holiday period with skeleton staff in order to manage any issues relating to the indefinite bandh.
