The District Magistrate, South District, Namchi has passed an order prohibiting the plying of all types of vehicles on the Pre Stress Bridge at Melli on 27th February 2011(Sunday) from 9 am to 12 noon for three hours for the execution of the rehabilitation works.

This has been done on the request of the Superintending Engineer(South) Roads and Bridges Department, Circle Office, Namchi who had submitted that the rehabilitation of Melli Pre Stress Bridge is under execution and has to be completed by March 2011. One of the works is to replace the existing damage for which the traffic needs to be stopped and had requested for the order to stop the traffic for three hours on 27th February 2011 from 9 am to 12 noon.
