GANGTOK, Dec. 1, 2010
The Joint Action Committee of Associations/Union of BSNL Executives and Non-executives of BSNL have gone for a three days strike all over the country. However Indian Telecom Services officers are not participating in the same. One of the employees of District Secretariat (BSNL E.U), JP Pradhan informed that 278 employees from Sikkim are participating in the strike. The strike has been called as the authorities did not pay any heed to the demands raised by them. They had also conducted a rally on 26th November. The committee has submitted a ten point demand to the authorities for consideration. This strike will be called off on the morning of 4th December.
